YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Peer to peer men's mental health support.

Welcome to The Men's Shed...

In the UK alone, around 115 people take their own lives every single week and of that number, 75% of them are males.

So around 12 men a day feel that there are no other options open to them and that is the only way out of whatever it is they may be dealing with.

This needs to change...

So we offer men's mental health support to make sure that men have a place where they can come and reach out and ask for help and support.

The men's shed was created to provide a space for men, who are struggling with day to day life, to come and chat, vent, listen, laugh and connect.

We want to offer peer to peer support and lived experience to the community and break down the stigma around men talking about their mental health and, where necessary, be able to signpost people to other organisations who may be able to assist in more specific areas.

It's about letting people know that they aren't alone, and that sometimes all you need is to realise someone else has been where you are and to hear that it's going to be OK.

COME TO THE MEN'S SHED

Thursday evenings. 6-8pm. Bullion Hall Chester-le-Street.

There’s no judgement, no pressure and no obligation. Just a friendly, supportive ear.

Men's Mental Health Support. We want to see the stigma around men opening up about struggling with day to day life, which impacts their mental health and well-being.

In this day and age there should be no shame in men asking for help and being able to say that out loud.

We want to raise awareness around this and make sure that men know there is a place and space which is safe, confidential and supportive.
